Savoring the City: Where to eat in NYC
Finding good restaurants in NYC can be overwhelming. With so many options, it can be hard to pinpoint those truly enjoyable dining experiences. Here are some of my favorite places from my last trip to the city:
Milano Market
Before catching the sunset in Central Park with my friends, we stopped at Milano Market for sandwiches. The sandwiches are incredible and quite large. My favorite was the amore sandwich: prosciutto, burrata, arugula with balsamic glaze on ciabatta —delicious and perfect for a picnic in the park.
Bon Bon Swedish Candy
A friend brought along some treats from Bon Bon Swedish Candy while we explored the Met and strolled around Central Park. It was a delightful addition to our museum day, adding a sweet touch to our adventure. The sour skull candy was my favorite and I recommend stopping by if you can for a sweet treat.
CheLi
If you’re in the mood for Chinese cuisine, I cannot recommend CheLi enough. CheLi offers outstanding and authentic Shanghainese regional cuisine in a charming, rustic ambiance. Their menu showcases fresh ingredients and delicate, refined flavors in traditional dishes that are unique and hard to find elsewhere in NYC. The CheLi’s pork belly was delicious, and the Longjing shrimp was incredible, with presentation that matched the taste.
Rosa Mexicano
Rosa Mexicano is a great spot for tacos, though a bit pricey for the portion size. However, it's perfect for large groups. We had over ten people at our table, and it didn’t feel crowded at all. The drinks were fun and tasty, making it an enjoyable dining experience overall.
Tarallucci e Vino Union Square
This incredible Italian restaurant offers outstanding appetizers and main meals at reasonable prices. The burrata was to die for, and the polpettine was incredible. It's a must-visit for Italian food lovers.
These spots made my NYC dining experience memorable and enjoyable. Hopefully, they help you navigate the city's vast restaurant scene!
